Latest Technology:

Technologically, Channel 1 is the international standard channel in Bangladesh. Channel 1 has installed its own earth station and its broadcast goes round the clock form the very first day of launching. Channel 1 is the countries first private television channel that is setting up full-fledged offices in all the Divisional Headquarters .Reports and video footage gathered by local correspondents will be sent straight to the central server of channel 1. Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) equipments will be used for live coverage important events from the very first day of operation.

Location:

Channel 1 has chosen the most beneficial location for its setup. The organization's main office is at Gulshan 1, Dhaka, and it the only official work place of the Channel for the moment. All the functional departments of the Channel 1 are established within the premise of the fourth and fifth floor of Tower UDAY and most of the in house production including the News is expected to be shot here.

Establishment

Channel One was established on June 1, 2005. Since its birth, exactly a year has passed, and the time ceased has been effectively used to construct a planning process, especially that of the Human Resource Department, and also to obtain the subsidiary facilities in order to run the show. Thus, with the course of time, Channel One has started its broadcasting on January 24, 2006. 8th January , 2006 was designed to be the starting of Test Transmission for the Channel. The date of final transmission is fixed after a successful test transmission and also obtaining additional permission from the concerned authority. The Channel has been designed to run 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Achievement:

In a very short span of time, Channel 1 has won the hearts and minds of a very large segment of the total population of Bangladesh. Through effective cable networking system channel 1 has reached all parts of Bangladesh. Now one can tune Channel 1 from any remote corner of the country. With neutral and objective news coverage and telecasting quality programmes, Channel 1 has become a very popular channel both at home and abroad.
